"Good Beer, No Shit"
by The BrewmeisterThe Road Dog Porter by Flying Dog brewery is just that, Good beer, no shit. The staple of Flying Dog tends to be the Doggy Style Pale Ale but it being winter and all I opted to try the Porter. Which was Flying Dog’s first beer to adorn artwork from artist Ralph Stedman.
Upon pouring the Road Dog it came out clean, with very little head and a nice dark soda color to it. The Road Dog is a thick full-bodied beer that doesn’t fill you up like a Guinness would. The ABV of this beer is 6%, which go down smooth with a strong hints of Chocolate, and licorice. The only negative I would have to say is that it’s not as think as most porters. The Road Dog would definitely be a great too sit down with a nice meal or for a night of drinking.
