"Dogfish Head 90 Minute IPA"

by The Brewmeister

Now this beer here, this is a beer for the books. The Dogfish Head 90 minute IPA comes in packs of 4, which tend to be more expensive then a normal 6 pack. Now don’t let the skimping of bottles fool you, this descendent beer packs a wallop with a 9% ABV. Upon pouring this orange/gold looking beer you get such a powerful aroma of citrus, and tropical fruits that you swear you are about to drink some perfume. You may find yourself having problems downing them one after another like a normal beer due to the robust hoppy taste. With the first sip you’re kind of stunned that you must take another sip; with this second sip your mouth dances with hops, citrus flavor with a bitter after taste. By the time you reach the fourth beer in the pack besides feeling pretty good you’ll start to feel your tongue rebelling against you from such a strong flavor that you’re kind of glad that it only has 4 beers in the pack. This is one beer I would say everyone must try; in fact you should go buy a pack right now and enjoy it because this is certainly one of the best beers out there for you to try.

Sierra Nevada Celebration Ale

by The Brewmeister

As the winter is coming near you tend to start crave for your beer to bit a bit more dark, maybe a more of a chocolate or coffee type of stout for that warm and cozy feeling. May I make a suggestion on going with the great winter beer by Sierra Nevada called “Celebration Ale”. It is a beer high in hops, a strong aroma and the taste that just reminds you of the holidays, especially drunken times around the holidays with an ABV of 6.8%. This beer even looks great just sitting there in it’s pint glass with about a inch of foam that dissipates quickly. Once you have that delicious first sip you get a delight of a little bit of spice then quickly comes the after taste of a nice bitterness that is expected from the hop heads that love IPA’s. This beer goes great with a nice piece of ham or steak. So go out and buy a nice 6 pack, get shitty and try and enjoy the company of your family; or at least make it interesting this holiday.

"Good Beer, No Shit"

by The Brewmeister

The Road Dog Porter by Flying Dog brewery is just that, Good beer, no shit. The staple of Flying Dog tends to be the Doggy Style Pale Ale but it being winter and all I opted to try the Porter. Which was Flying Dog’s first beer to adorn artwork from artist Ralph Stedman.
Upon pouring the Road Dog it came out clean, with very little head and a nice dark soda color to it. The Road Dog is a thick full-bodied beer that doesn’t fill you up like a Guinness would. The ABV of this beer is 6%, which go down smooth with a strong hints of Chocolate, and licorice. The only negative I would have to say is that it’s not as think as most porters. The Road Dog would definitely be a great too sit down with a nice meal or for a night of drinking.
